Jon Richardson Podcast
Lloyd: There was a girl who was talking on her mobile phone for a long period of the show, and I said to her "why're you talking on your phone?" and she said "my boyfriend has just split up with me". So I said "oh that's quite bad, uhm, why?", which I probably shouldn't have asked.
Jon: It's the first question you think of though, isn't it?
Lloyd: Then she said: "oh, because you're a really rubbish comedian"
Jon: Oooh, that's what we call a slam down.
Lloyd: And then I said "no maybe he split up with you because you're a bit aggressive"
Jon: Nice, turned it back on her, really kicked on her when she's down.
Lloyd: And then I said "to try and cheer you up, I'll get you a drink from the bar"
Jon: Lovely gesture, Lloyd Langford, man of the people.
Lloyd: "I'll get them to put it in a plastic glass, because you're a bit violent"
Jon: *laughs*
Lloyd: Then she burst into tears and her friend started screaming words that I wouldn't be able to repeat on the radio. Including quite possibly the best hackle I've ever had, which was: "Stop making jokes"
Jon: *laughs* Wow that's a good one, very efficient hackle.

Fringe Post #3 - Tuesday
First sketch show of the festival was decided on a whim again, basically because the person advertising it was polite, so off I went to see So On and So Forth. Flyerers and promoters take note, if you are really polite and look genuinely interested in your show, the likelihood of me coming to see it increases endlessly. I’ve not seen that much sketch comedy before but I know it can be...

Fringe Post #2 - Monday
It was a pretty safe bet that I was gonna enjoy my Monday at the Fringe as I had seen all the acts previously, apart from Colm O’Regan. First up was Making Life Taste Funny, which was a free show. It featured Sean Turner, Graham Oakes and a guest comedian each day. First of all, when a room is advertised as The Meeting Room, I generally expect this doesn’t mean I have to nearly sit...

Fringe Post #1 - Sunday
My first show of the fringe was Matt Forde - I was really looking forward to this show, even if it was just to relive podcast times (note: if you’re aren’t a fan of constant podcast references you probably won’t be a fan of my fringe updates). In fact the show was really well put together, even if Forde’s obsession with Tony Blair is really quite peculiar. Knowing a...

That’ll be me banned from Topman, where will I get my cardigans?
– Jon Richardson.
I hope you are all ready to hear every single very small event that occurred during my time in Edinburgh, it is going to take me a bloody long time to write it all up.

Hello, Tumblr.
I have returned from Edinburgh, I shall do a full report tomorrow, or over the next couple of days.
I would expect a lot of me blabbering about how much I now love Sammy J and Stuart Goldsmith.
This is all.
Edinburgh is good. I am sleep deprived. Off to see Jon Richardson soon!
I will do a proper run down of Edinburgh when I return (probably) but that bit above goes a long way to summing it up!

Spooks comes to an end.
SPY drama Spooks is to be killed off after a decade on screen, TV Biz can reveal.
Fans of the hit BBC1 show about MI5 agents will be devastated by the decision.
It attracts more than six million viewers but the BBC said it will bow out in autumn after ten series.
Bosses have promised a “high octane thrilling finale” for the show, which has had a string of controversial...

You’ve got a generation raised on the welfare state, Enjoyed all its benefits and did just great, But as soon as they were settled as the richest of the rich, They kicked away the ladder, told the rest of us that life’s a bitch. And it’s no surprise that all the fuck-ups Didn’t show up until the kids had grown up. But when no one ever smiles or ever helps a stranger,...
